1. Introduction and Acceptance
This website, mobile application and related services are operated and provided by DriveMe (“DriveMe”, “we”, “our” or “us”).
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the DriveMe website, mobile application and services, including the discovery of driving trainers, booking of driving lessons, payment facilities, lesson tracking and related features.
These Terms constitute an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000, and applicable rules, as amended from time to time. They do not require a physical or digital signature merely by virtue of being published electronically.
By registering an account, making a booking or using the DriveMe services, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to be bound by these Terms and the DriveMe Privacy Policy.
Please read these Terms carefully before using DriveMe. If you do not agree with any provision, please do not use the services.
1. Introduction and Acceptance
2. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms, the following expressions shall have the meanings assigned below:
2.1 “DriveMe” refers to the DriveMe platform described in the introduction to these Terms.
2.2 “Platform” refers to the DriveMe mobile application, website and associated digital interfaces.
2.3 “Customer” or “User” refers to any individual who accesses the platform, creates an account or uses DriveMe to discover or book driving lessons.
2.4 “Trainer” refers to a driving instructor who offers or provides driving lessons through the platform.
2.5 “Driving School” refers to a driving school or training establishment offering driving instruction through DriveMe.
2.6 “Services” refers to the features provided through DriveMe, including trainer discovery, lesson booking, payment processing, booking management, live lesson tracking and customer support.
2.7 “Booking” refers to a request or confirmed reservation made by a customer for a driving lesson.
2.8 “Lesson” refers to a driving training session arranged through the platform.
2.9 “Third-Party Service Provider” refers to an external entity providing payment processing, maps, messaging, hosting or other supporting services to DriveMe.
3. Eligibility and Account Registration
Users must provide accurate registration information, maintain the confidentiality of their account credentials and use the platform only for lawful purposes.
Customers must satisfy the legal eligibility requirements applicable to their intended driving lesson. DriveMe may request information reasonably necessary to verify an account or comply with applicable law.
4. Nature of the Platform
DriveMe facilitates the discovery and booking of driving lessons through participating trainers and driving schools.
DriveMe provides the digital platform connecting learners with participating driving schools and their trainers. Partner driving schools provide the training services, trainers and vehicles where included in the booking.
Where a trainer or driving school independently provides the lesson, that provider remains responsible for delivering the agreed training service, maintaining legally required qualifications and authorisations, and complying with applicable driving and safety laws.
5. Trainer Profiles and Availability
A displayed trainer, vehicle or time slot is not necessarily a confirmed booking. Your booking is confirmed only when the platform displays the appropriate confirmation or otherwise communicates acceptance.
A “Verified” label, where used, indicates only the checks actually completed by DriveMe. It should not be interpreted as an unconditional guarantee of a trainer's conduct, teaching quality or future compliance.
6. Booking a Driving Lesson
Customers may select an available trainer, vehicle, lesson duration, date, time and pickup location. Customers are responsible for reviewing the booking details and applicable charges before confirmation.
If a booking cannot be fulfilled because a trainer becomes unavailable, a technical error occurs or another operational issue arises, DriveMe will communicate the available options, which may include rescheduling, selecting another trainer or receiving an eligible refund.
DriveMe does not guarantee that a particular trainer or time slot will always be available.
7. Pricing, Payments and Invoices
The applicable lesson price, duration, fees, taxes and available discounts will be displayed before you confirm the booking, to the extent applicable.
Payments may be processed through an authorised third-party payment gateway.
DriveMe will communicate the payment status shown by the relevant payment provider. If an amount is debited but the booking is not confirmed, contact DriveMe support with the transaction reference.
Where applicable, DriveMe will provide a receipt or invoice identifying the relevant service provider and transaction details in accordance with the actual billing arrangement and applicable law.
8. Customer Responsibilities
You must not use DriveMe to arrange unlawful activities, submit false complaints, manipulate reviews or misuse promotional offers.
DriveMe may investigate credible reports of misconduct and take proportionate action in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.
9. Driving Licence and Legal Eligibility
You are responsible for ensuring that you meet the legal requirements applicable to the lesson you book.
Where a learner's licence, driving licence, permit, age requirement or other authorisation is legally required, you must hold the appropriate valid authorisation and comply with its conditions.
You must follow applicable Indian motor vehicle laws and lawful safety requirements throughout the lesson.
You must not drive a vehicle on a public road unless legally authorised to do so.
Where applicable, the trainer or driving school is responsible for checking the learner's eligibility, the suitability of the training arrangement and the relevant legal requirements before commencing the lesson.
DriveMe's booking confirmation does not itself grant a learner's licence, driving licence or legal permission to operate a vehicle.
10. Safety and Conduct During Lessons
Your safety is important to DriveMe.
Before and during a lesson, you should:
Follow applicable safety instructions.
Use seat belts and other required safety equipment.
Avoid distractions and unsafe conduct.
Never drive while impaired by alcohol, drugs or any substance that makes driving unsafe.
Immediately report unsafe vehicles, dangerous conduct or suspected unlawful activity.
You may stop participating in a lesson if you reasonably believe that continuing would create an immediate safety risk.
If a serious safety incident occurs, contact the appropriate emergency services where necessary and notify DriveMe as soon as reasonably possible.
DriveMe may investigate reported incidents and take appropriate action, including suspending bookings while a serious concern is reviewed.
11. Ratings, Reviews and User Content
DriveMe may allow customers to submit ratings, reviews, complaints and feedback about their experience.
DriveMe may moderate, restrict or remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
Where reviews are displayed publicly, DriveMe may associate them with limited profile information or a booking as appropriate.
Submitting feedback does not give you ownership of DriveMe's platform or its other users' content. You retain your rights in your original content, while granting DriveMe the limited permission necessary to host, display and use it for platform operation, moderation and improvement, subject to applicable law and your privacy choices.
12. Promotions, Referral Codes and Credits
DriveMe may offer referral codes, promotional discounts, credits or other benefits.
Each offer may have specific conditions, including validity dates, geographic availability, eligible users, minimum booking values or restrictions on combining offers.
DriveMe will not remove earned or purchased benefits arbitrarily where doing so would violate applicable law or the applicable offer conditions.
13. Intellectual Property
The DriveMe name, logo, app interface, software, design elements, original content and other platform materials are owned by or licensed to DriveMe, unless otherwise indicated.
You may use the platform for personal, lawful purposes in accordance with these Terms.
You must not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, commercially exploit or create unauthorised derivative works from the platform, except to the extent expressly permitted by law or with prior written authorisation.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of DriveMe's intellectual property to you.
14. Suspension and Account Termination
DriveMe may restrict, suspend or terminate access to an account where reasonably necessary to address misuse of the platform, suspected fraud, safety concerns, a breach of these Terms or legal requirements. Where appropriate and legally permissible, DriveMe will provide notice and an opportunity to respond or resolve the issue.
You may stop using the Services and request account deletion through the available app feature or customer support.
Suspension or account deletion does not remove any payment, refund, dispute-resolution or legal obligations that remain applicable.
15. Changes to These Terms
DriveMe may update these Terms to reflect changes in the Services, business operations or legal requirements.
The revised Terms will be published on the website with an updated “Last Updated” date. Where required by law, we will provide notice or obtain consent before applying material changes.
Changes will not retrospectively remove rights already accrued under applicable law.
Your continued use of the Services after a change takes effect may constitute acceptance where legally permitted. If you do not agree to a material change, you should stop using the affected Services.
16. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
Any dispute will be addressed through the applicable complaint-resolution process and, where necessary, the competent courts or tribunals having jurisdiction under applicable law.
Nothing in this section deprives a consumer of a statutory remedy or forum available under Indian consumer protection law.
17. Contact and Requests
For questions about these Terms, a booking or a service complaint, use the support option available in the DriveMe app or request a callback through our website. State the subject of your request so our team can direct it appropriately.
